Despite any rumors you may have heard or the fact I haven’t updated this site in exactly one year, I am still alive.

So what have I been doing for the past year? One word, work. In the past year, I’ve been doing a whole lot of hard work, something Hillary Clinton seems to think young people are unable to accomplish. From the NY Times:

She said that “young people today think work is a four-letter word” and “think they’re entitled to go right to the top with $50,000 or $75,000 jobs when they have not done anything to earn their way up.”

For other responses to her comments, see Time Magazine and the NY Post.

Did I miss the transition where Democrats became the crotchety old man yelling at the kids to turn the music down, while Republicans decided they were going to run free with the nation’s credit card?

Despite what the politicians say, all of that hard work has paid off. I’m buying a townhouse with Ms. No Name. It has two bedrooms, two and a half baths, fireplace, and two level deck. I posted a few pictures from the home inspection.

Super Dog We close on June 30, so if anyone wants to help us move July 1-9, let me know and I will provide food and beer. I’m excited to finally have a place of our own, and we’ll be able to let Super Dog roam free.

During our research, I ran across a number of interesting sites:

In the rush that has been this past week, I forgot my Dad’s birthday, and now I feel really bad about it. It’s not entirely my fault since we celebrated Mother’s day, Mom’s bday and Dad’s bday all at once. That makes up for him getting presents a week and a half early.

Happy Birthday Mom! Six syllables for a sixty year old. You might want to keep that one in mind for the crosswords.

So I’m driving to Potbelly after softball practice with Ms. “No Name” to get a yummy turkey sandwich, and as I’m driving along I notice what looks to be a very nice Mercedes CLK, then I notice the Kleemann badge, and I realize that its a CLK 55K S8. Wow, 596hp can make you just gawk, and I’m not a Mercedes fan (although the CLKs are very nice, and I wouldn’t turn down the SL 55 AMG at the Vegas slots if I had won).

In case anyone out there is shopping for my quarter birthday coming up, I need Clocky, a wandering alarm clock robot! In case you haven’t noticed, I enjoy sleep, and I don’t like it when the alarm clock goes off. I’ve already had to resort to putting my alarm clock 8 feet from my bed so I have to get out of bed to hit the snooze button. I may even have to set the clock even farther forward (its already 16 minutes fast) so that I continually get up at the same time.

Clocky will wander around my room until I can find the evil sound and step on it to go back to bed. Remember, my quarter bday is coming!
