Dave is the best thing in my life besides Jan and I love him so very much and am extremely proud of him. I understand his situation, being so busy, as I too was very busy at age 23. He's grown up just like me.......just like me.

Treas aint gonna cut that check any sooner than they have to. Its called Prompt Pay, read the Momentum User Guide. There is a superformula used to compute exactly when the gov't should cut the check so they can maximize there interest.

I thought this was pretty funny. It never actually occurred to me that those airline miles would ever get me anything other than an occasional upgrade......

Very well put! While I, like you, am no economics major, I did benefit from a few econ classes at ND. While I hated these classes with a passion, I do remember that in every class each professor said that huge tax cuts DO NOT WORK. That was my take home lesson from econ. While I can no longer explain why or how, just take my word for it.

As for your points about John Kerry. At first I didn't really like the guy. He definitely wasn't my first choice during the democratic primary. But I've definitely warmed up to him as time has gone along. I realized that most of his negative image has come out of Bush's smear tactics, and I also realize that NO SENATOR's voting record is particularly good, especially ones that have been there awhile. It's the way the game is played, so I find it rather unfair to accuse John Kerry of what 99.9% of the Senate engages in. I respect him for his anti-war movement after Vietnam and his good taste in marrying a woman from Pittsburgh ;) While I still have my reservations, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and support him until he screws things up like the current ass we have running the country. Somehow, I doubt this is possible.

Yay for Uncle Bill! He could have won a 3rd term, despite the blue dress. Ya know, it's really Al's fault. He should have put his arm around Bill, and said "I'm the same guy, without the cigars." He only needed 4 votes. (Unfortunately, they were the votes of Supreme court justices that were given their jobs by dubya's daddy and his buddy Uncle Ronny.)

Hey, I didn't know you read my weblog. :)
I can sum up my problems with gambling in one word "Corruption". The Allegheny County government is currently a virtual model of corruption as it stands, bringing in more money and opportunity for kickbacks, bribes, and the usual corruption will likely not have a positive effect on the city.

The City needs money, it is true. However it could go a long way towards that by not being so business unfriendly (taxes and corruption again are keeping large companies away), perhaps bringing some income into the city that doesn't involve essentially preying on the downtrodden and those really bad at statistics.
